Where to get inspiration during lockdown?

The pandemic had a huge effect on our daily lives. We were forced to stay at home at many times and limit our socialising. During such hard times many people noticed lack of motivation and inspiration to do basic activities, which reflected even on their mental health. It is important to stay active and balance your lifestyle with some activities that will help you gain the inspiration to stay on top of your things even in such difficult times. Here are some things that could help you:

1 Visit online museums

When the pandemic started and lockdown happened, museums had to find alternative ways to share their exhibition with the audience. Many museums offer an option to offer their exhibitions online and read about the artworks. Even the most famous museums such as Louvre and Rijksmuseum have joined the online view option. Looking at art and reading about it is very therapeutic, especially if you spend a lot of time looking at social media throughout the day.

Even though looking at pictures online is very different from the real experience, the modern technology allows us to view many exhibitions using the 360 degrees mode which is very realistic.

2 Go for a walk to a park or a forrest

Many people were forced to stay in lockdown at home for a longer period of times. And even after when the restrictions have became less strict the habit of staying home have remained for them. We often forget to actually feel and realise how beautiful nature is around us. Go for a walk and just stop for a moment and value the beauty of it, think about how amazing the trees are, look around yourself and enjoy the moment.

3 Meditate or practice yoga

Lack of physical exercise can also affect people’s mental state. Yoga is an amazing excise that can be done at home while watching a video instructions. There are many channels on YouTube that focus specifically on yoga. It helps to stretch and relax the body and your mind. Another practice that is very helpful for your mental health is meditation. Meditation has amazing benefits to your mind which will really help you to survive the lockdown without going crazy.

4 Check out the latest fashion trends

During the pandemic, many of us have forgotten about fashion and have switched to sweatshirts and sweatpants. We are staying at home all the time and care only about the comfort. All of ours fancy clothes are sitting in a wardrobe and waiting for a chance to be worn. There is no need to do your hair, makeup and dress nicely.
